Happy cohabiversary to us.
On March 8, 1968, Bobbi and I started living together. For many years, even years after we were married - about two and a half years later - we celebrated our cohabiversary. Our marriage was not such a big deal. It was just a formality. Something we did for other people. The big deal was when we started living together. That was for us.
Then, over the years, cohabiversary faded into the background, and anniversary took center stage. Nowadays we go to the Arborvine restaurant to celebrate and from time to time we've let our cohabiversary slip by unnoticed. This year we notice. We're going out to see a show at the Collins Center and have dinner at the Fiddlehead restaurant on this, our 47th cohabiversary.
Fifty is coming up. Stay tuned.
By the way, the Urban Dictionary now says cohabiversary is a thing.
