I remember reading this years ago in Michael Crichton’s “Jurrasic Park.” It’s a good thing to bear in mind when people talk about Climate Change or some other human behavior destroying the planet. I’m not saying it’s not a problem. I'm saying that the idea that we are capable of “destroying the planet” is, as Chriton says “intoxicating vanity.”
