If no one makes the world better, the world gets worse. Fortunately, the universe often forces us to do things that make the world better. Otherwise, we would not be here. As thinking beings, we have choices. We can sit back and hope other people make the world better; we can submit to the forces of the universe when they force us to do things that make it better; we can make it our job to do what we can to make it better—even when we don’t have to. I choose to work to make it better.
